Talbot Bank’s “Tred Avon Tredders” Walk for March of Dimes

Talbot Bank March of Dimes (400 x 304)Employees from The Talbot Bank, member of Shore Bancshares’ family of companies, demonstrated their support for the March of Dimes by participating in a 6.5 mile walk in Federalsburg, MD on April 28. The Talbot Bank was a sponsor for the event and employees of the Tred Avon branch joined together with their family and friends to create the 11 member team known as the “Tred Avon Tredders.” All 11 members completed the walk and took pleasure in supporting such a great cause.

Prior to the walk, the “Tred Avon Tredders” held a pit beef fundraiser, sold baked goods at Talbot Bank’s “Shred Day,” and sold candy bars and snacks in the bank branch. Talbot Bank employee, Jen Willey, hosted a Thirty-one party and donated her profits to the team. In addition, bank employees received generous support from their customers through donations. Altogether, the “Tred Avon Tredders” raised a total of $2,410. The funds will go towards March of Dimes’ research and programs in the Delmarva area to help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. Brenda Wooden, Tred Avon Branch Manager, commented, “We are so grateful for all of the support we received from our customers; we couldn’t have done it without them. As a team, we are proud of our contributions and accomplishments and look forward to participating again next year.”
