Stitching Time at Easton Library
On Monday, September 9, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will once again offer its popular “Stitching Time” program. Patrons are invited to bring their needlecraft projects and work in a group. Limited instruction will be available for beginners. All ages welcome. One Maryland One Book Discussions to be Held at Library
On Monday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m., in the Easton branch, and again on Thursday, September 12, at 2:00 p.m., in the St. Michaels branch, Bill Peak will host the Talbot County Free Library’s discussions of this year’s One Maryland One Book: “King Peggy.” One Maryland One Book is the program of the Maryland Humanities Council in which people all across the state read the same book at the same time. Copies of “King Peggy” are available for check out at both branches of the library. The book tells the true story of Peggielene Bartesl who, after working for years as a secretary in Washington, D.C., discovered she had been chosen King of her native Ghanaian village.
