The Dance Connection is presenting its annual recital with performances on June 9 and 10 at the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College. This year’s recital is the story of “Peter Pan” which showcases all 170 students represented as 27 characters along with the 12 main character parts. The 2012 graduates performing are Julie Christopher, Alexandra Meehan, Stephanie Ehatt, and Rachel Newman.

Meg Yoast, owner of The Dance Connection, said, “Our recital is a full stage production culminating a year of technique classes, original choreography, set design and construction, and costuming. The students work hard all year and enjoy the stage performance before family and friends.” Students range from 3 to adults in the dance disciplines of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz/hip hop, and lyrical.

Lead characters are: Elizabeth Tunnicliff as Michael, Mary James as Nana, Samantha Yoast as John, Rachel Newman as Tiger Lily, Stephanie Ehatt as Wendy, Nick Majka as Captain Hook, Julie Christopher as Peter Pan, Alexandra Meehan as Tinkerbell, and Kristin Bombard as Smee.
