On Thursday, January 14, at 5:00 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, Bill Jones, the assistant manager of the Enoch Pratt Library’s Maryland Department, will discuss the fascinating history of spies who hailed from Maryland. Yes, that’s right, spies from Maryland. Given the state’s proximity to both Washington, D.C., and the Mason-Dixon Line, it turns out there is a long and colorful history of Marylanders taking up espionage in defense of America (or, in several cases, the Confederacy). All library programs are free and open to the public. Patrons do not need to pre-register for this program. For more information, call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.
