The Quilts of Valor Project needs your help!

Margaret Revell Goodwin has announced she is still in need of as many blocks or patches for the Slippery Hill Quilts of Valor being made for wounded warriors. This is an opportunity for the entire community of Queen Anne’s County to submit one 10.5 x 10.5 inch piece of fabric to help complete one of the Slippery Hill Quilts of Valor quilts.

These quilts memorialize the 20 men who defended the 1813 Slippery Hill area of present day in the Grasonville-Queenstown part of Route 18. The quilts will be donated to present day wounded warriors through the Quilts of Valor program.

Forms with all information are available at County libraries, in Centreville and Queenstown town offices and at the County’s Liberty Street building administrative office. For further information, call 410-725-6782.
