A young pop star with a fanatical fan club, hundreds of screaming fans, and trend setting hairstyle, has Justin Bieber come to Salisbury? Not this week, but Conrad Birdie has. Imagine yourself back in the 1950s, back in the days of Americana and Ed Sullivan, that is where you will find Conrad Birdie, the title character of The Salisbury School’s All School Musical Production of the classic musical “Bye, Bye Birdie.”
“Bye, Bye Birdie” tells the story of Conrad Birdie, an Elvis-esque singer who captured the hearts of girls around the nation. As Birdie has been drafted into the Army, his manager, Albert,, and secretary, Rosie have concocted a publicity plan in which he gives his last kiss before going off to war to an unknown fan, Kim MacAfee, from Sweet Apple, Ohio.
Come enjoy this magical journey back in time as The Salisbury School Theater Players sing and dance their way into your hearts.
