Statewide Roadeo Competition

On April 12, 2014 TAM will host its 20th Annual Statewide Roadeo at the Maryland
Transit Administration’s Dorsey MARC Train Station in Elkridge, Maryland.
The TAM Roadeo is an opportunity for drivers to gain recognition for their driving skills locally and nationally in two classes of completion: Small Bus or Van. The Roadeo is designed to test driver limits. It allows drivers to meet others in the transportation profession and have a good time. It’s a full day of competition and fun in which
contestants must demonstrate their skills in driving, wheelchair loading and securement, and pre-trip inspections.

TAM awards trophies and provides scholarships to the first and second place winners in each category to compete nationally in the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) Roadeo, where Maryland drivers compete against drivers from other states. This year CTAA’s National Roadeo is being hosted in St. Paul, MN on June 7-8, 2014. Maryland drivers have consistently placed in the top ten and we look forward to sending our best to the 2014 National competition.

TAM is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to serve and represent its members and is dedicated to improving mobility and economic opportunity for all Maryland citizens. It is a viable and effective advocate for its members providing professional development and a forum for the pursuit of excellence in community transportation.
