Tidewater Rotary’s Birthday Bags initiative is bringing joy to homebound seniors in our community. This May, Carrie Ottey of the Senior Care Program at the Talbot County Health Department (TCHD) graciously accepted a delivery of these special bags, filled with personal care items, tasty treats, and engaging activities.

Launched in January 2025, the Birthday Bags project aims to bring a little extra happiness to vulnerable and homebound adults while celebrating their birthdays. Tidewater Rotary collaborates with organizations like Social Services and TCHD to ensure these bags reach those who need them most.

Each bag is lovingly assembled thanks to the generous donations of Tidewater Rotary club members and the wider community. So far, 35 Birthday Bags have been distributed, making a real difference in the lives of local seniors.
