United Fund 2011-12 Campaign Off to A Good Start

The United Fund’s 2011-12 campaign officially kicked off on September 22nd and already has attracted over $167,000 in contributions toward its $450,000 goal, donations that are helping ease the plight of the less fortunate in Talbot County. “Imagine helping someone realize their full potential, achieve financial stability or maintain their independence,” comments Executive Director, Ann Jacobs. “ That’s what our agencies do every day.”

The United Fund’s mission is to meet the underfunded human services needs and serves as the only local philanthropic organization to support many charities in Talbot County. Currently, there are 22 participating non-profit agencies that have passed the United Fund’s stringent reviews and deliver programs and services for local residents in need, helping them lead more productive, self-sufficient and healthier lives.

Most of the United Fund agencies are small with limited resources and are thankful to the United Fund and its supporters to meet underserved needs in the community. Please help the United Fund achieve its mission in our community by mailing your support to United Fund of Talbot County, P.O.
