United Fund Makes First Disbursements of 2011-12 Campaign

As the current year draws to a close, the United Fund of Talbot County allocated $150,750, the first of three distributions to its 2011-12 participating agencies. Representatives from the Fund’s 22 member agencies were present to celebrate the occasion at the Fund’s office at 121 North Washington Street. The Fund has enjoyed a good response to this year’s appeal, attracting contributions totaling 74% of the $450,000 goal so far. “We are delighted by the continued strong flow of donations,” Ann Jacobs, United Fund of Talbot County Executive Director said, “but we still have a long way to go in reaching the 2011-12 campaign goal.”

The 2011-12 UFTC participating agencies are: BAAM (Building African American Minds); Boy Scouts in Talbot County; CASA of Talbot County; Channel Marker; Character Counts!; Chesapeake Center; Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers; Delmarva Community Services; Epilepsy Association of the Eastern Shore; For All Seasons; Girl Scouts of Talbot County; Mental Health Association in Talbot County; Mid Shore Community Mediation; Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence; Mid-Shore Pro Bono; Neighborhood Service Center; Partners in Care; St. Martin’s Ministries; St. Michaels Community Center; Talbot Mentors; Talbot Special Riders; and Upper Shore Aging.
