UNITED WAY OF QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Stephanie Tyler, President of the United Way of Queen Anne’s County, is pleased to announce two new additions to the Board of Directors. Kelly Huber with Character Counts! Of QAC and Emily Clagett with Shore United Bank have both agreed to serve.

“Our board of directors is growing, and we are thrilled to have these local business representatives join us, Tyler remarked. “We know that they will bring new energy and ideas and compliment the long term members that we already have in place.”

Kelly Huber is a Character Counts! Coach Specialist with the county. Before becoming a coach specialist, she was very involved with the school system for seven years as a volunteer. Kelly and her family have been in Grasonville for 13 years. Her giving heart towards children is a perfect fit for the United Way of Queen Anne’s County as 53% of this year’s allocations are going towards children’s programs!

Emily Clagett is an Assistant Branch Manager for the Centreville Branch of Shore United Bank. Not only does she work in Centreville, but Emily and her 4 children and husband live in Centreville. Emily has a passion for giving to others and working with youth. The United Way of Queen Anne’s County is thrilled to give her an outlet for that passion!

“With these two wonderful additions, our count for new board members for this year is at seven. Change can be daunting but it’s also exciting…and necessary!” stated Executive Director, Sandra Early, “Good things are happening with the United Way of Queen Anne’s County!”
