UNITED WAY OF QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Todd Wilhoit, President of the United Way of Queen Anne’s County, is pleased to announce two new additions to the Board of Directors. Stephanie Tyler with M&T Bank and Kerry Legg with FHN Insurance have both agreed to serve.
“We are thrilled to have these local business women join our board, Todd remarked. “We know that they will bring new energy and ideas and compliment the long term members that we already have in place.”
Stephanie Tyler has been in banking for over 15 years and currently manages the M&T Branch in Kent Towne Market in Chester. Ms. Tyler is also the Co-Chair of the Scholarship Committee for the Chesapeake Women’s Network, so supporting her community by working with non-profits is not something new to her. She has expressed that she works well in a team environment and thrives on success. That attitude and her financial expertise make her a great fit for the United Way board!
Kerry Legg is the Operations Manager for FHN Insurance and was recommended to the board by present board member, Chad Helfenbein of Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home. FHN Insurance is a division of the funeral home and she does marking for both organizations. Kerry is a 1999 graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School and received her Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Towson University in 2004. She’s been with FHN since November of 2007. Kerry is currently serving as the Vice President of the Chesapeake Women’s Network which means she has already worked with Ms. Tyler. She is also a member of the QAC Chamber of Commerce. Kerry, her husband Josh, and their children, Hayden and Jase, along with their dogs Rebel and Avery, currently reside in Henderson, Maryland. The United Way looks forward to Ms. Legg bringing fresh ideas and leadership skills to the organization!
“If the old adage ‘if you want something done, just ask a busy person to do it’ is true, then you can expect a lot more from the United Way of Queen Anne’s County in the near future!” stated Executive Director, Sandra Early. “We are, however, still looking for more board members, especially someone to represent the northern end of the county,” declared Ms. Early.
United Way Queen Anne’s County is all about neighbors helping neighbors!
