Stitching Time
On Monday, November 18, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will once again offer its popular Stitching Time program. Patrons are invited to bring their needlecraft projects to work on in a group. Limited instruction will be available for beginners. All ages are welcome. Library to Offer Program on Care and Maintenace of Septic Systems
On Monday night, November 18, at 6:30 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, Herb Reed, Senior Agent and Master Gardener Coordinator for the University of Maryland Extension Service, Calvert County, will present a program on septic systems, their care and maintenance and their effect upon the Bay. Reed’s presentation will be the third in a series of programs concerning the health, history, and life of the Chesapeake Bay that the library is putting on this month in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. The fourth and concluding program, “Story-Tellers of the Bay” will take place on Monday night, November 25, at 6:30, and feature five of the Chesapeake’s finest yarn-spinners: Captains Fred Pomeroy, William Roe, Scott Todd, and Michael Vlahovich, and native Smith Island crab-picker and song-writer Janice Marshall. Puppet Show: Turkey Surprise
On Tuesday, November 19, at 4:00 p.m., the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library will put on a puppet show for children of all ages. “Turkey Surprise” is a Thanksgiving production by the library’s own Miss Carla. Lego Time
Wednesday, November 20, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will present a Lego program for children 6 and older. Altered Books Crafts: Create a Christmas Tree with Chris Eareckson and Sabine Simonson
On Wednesday, November 20, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will put on a Christmas craft program in which patrons will learn how to make a table-top Christmas tree out of an old book. All materials will be provided by the library. This program is open to ages 10 – adult, but pre-registration is required. All library programs are free and open to the public.
