Talk on Frederick Douglass’s Life in Talbot County
On Thursday, October 20, at noon, in the Hospice House, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, the Friends of the Talbot County Free Library will sponsor a talk by local historian Priscilla Morris on Frederick Douglass’s life in Talbot County from 1833 to 1836.  Morris’s talk on this same subject was such a hit when she gave it in St. Michaels, the Friends have asked her to repeat her performance for the Easton community.  Focusing primarily on the Bayside farms Douglass wrote about in his memoirs, Morris will also discuss the impact these memoirs had locally when they were first published in 1845.  All library programs are free and open to the public.  For more information, call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit www.tcfl.org.
