Job Search Assistance One-Stop Bus to Visit St. Michaels Library

On Tuesday, February 28, the Upper Shore Workforce Investment Board’s Mobile One-Stop bus will be on-site at the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. to assist individuals looking for work, job training, and other employment-based resources.

Funded by the state of Maryland, the Workforce Investment Board’s Mobile One-Stop is a modern Winnebago-type vehicle converted to the look and feel of one of the Board’s One-Stop Career Center offices. The bus is fully staffed and equipped to connect people to resources that will help improve their job prospects. It is the only one of its kind in the country.

In today’s world, the ability to access internet-based resources is essential to any successful job search. Learning how to research and apply for jobs online, complete interest assessments, and compile competitive résumé and cover letters can all be accomplished aboard the Mobile One-Stop bus. Services provided are all free of charge and require no pre-registration.

For more information, call the library at 410-745-5877, or visit www.tcfl.org. For more information about Mobile One-Stop visits scheduled elsewhere in the five-county area served by the Workforce Investment Board, visit their website: www.uswib.org.
