As a busy mom, the word glamorous doesn’t usually describe me, but the ladies at Glam! Salon in Chester have changed that! Walking into the open spaced room, it’s not your typical salon. Eclectic art fills the walls, while 10ft high windows let in a plethora of natural light. Vintage chandeliers and antique vanities make me expect to see a Great Gatsby character come waltzing out, and who can ignore Zach and Eva, the concierge team of Newfoundlands who greet me!

I head to Leigh’s station, and she gets my feet pretty in pink for spring. Between the massaging chair, warm jets, and serene view, I’m completely de-stressed when I make it to Joyce’s chair for my hair. “If you listen to the head, it will speak to you!” With 33 years in the business, she’s talked to a lot of heads! Taking an approach akin to interior design, she works with me to develop a color and style that works for me. The results are amazing! Dramatic, yet soft. (Intrigued? Smokey eyes and a soft and glossy lip complete a look I didn’t think was possible.

With a rule that “the client comes first, regardless of whose client” I felt I had a team of experts, devoted to giving me a total Glam! Experience.

I’m not the only one. “Wow this place is so cool!” exclaims a first time visitor as she walks in.
