UPS shifts gears to assist Pet Pantries, a local not-for-profit organization aiding humane organizations’ public food pantries located in Talbot, Caroline and Dorchester Counties, attain their 2014 goal to collect and deliver of 20,000 pounds of pet food. The partnership’s “Fill the Truck Food Drive” takes place at Easton Acme and Easton Giant stores on Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. represents the first local community not-for-profit partnership event endorsed by UPS, a global company with one of the most recognized and admired brands in the world.

“We encourage everyone to come out and support our drive. The summer drives help us sustain the food panties in a tri-county region. Based on last year’s statistics, 20,000 pounds of pet food will meet the annual demand of the Bay Water Animal Rescue and Talbot and Caroline Humane organizations, said Mary Kramer, Vice-President of Pet Pantries. We are sincerely grateful to UPS for their partnership and support of our food drive. The Talbot Mentors and their mentees, Cub Scouts, and a host of volunteers will be on hand to help you fill the UPS trucks”.
