By Ron Stafford
Q: Which organizations do you volunteer for?
A: I volunteer as a Character Counts! coach as well as an Advisory Council member. I am also a member of the Centreville Rotary Club, and am the co-chair of the Artisan Festival with the Rotary Club that is held once a year in October. In addition I am a member of the Drug-Free Coalition with the County.
Q: What do you find particularly rewarding about volunteering?
A: I have an interest in drug prevention, and regarding Character Counts!, I want to see the local student population become the best that they can be. I also enjoy seeing former students that I worked with in Character Counts!, especially during meetings with county commissioners when monthly proclamations are given.
Q: How many years have you been volunteering?
A: I have been involved with Character Counts! since 2001, and have participated with the other organizations since 1999.
