Dennis Walters, Vice President, Business Development Officer, & Regional Branch Manager of CNB, a member of Shore Bancshares’ family of companies was recently chosen as a semi-finalist for the 2013 Parent Involvement Matters Award (PIMA). The PIMA Program, which is supported by the Target Corporation, recognizes parents and legal guardians across Maryland for their exceptional support of public education. Parents are nominated for demonstrating a significant, positive impact in their education communities through communication, volunteering, learning, decision making, or community collaboration. The awards were presented during an evening celebration on May 17 at the Eastern Technical High School in Baltimore County.
Mr. Walters was selected as a semi-finalist along with 23 additional nominees. As the PTA President, a Junior Achievement Coach, and a Character Counts! Coach, Mr. Walters has made a huge impact on the students, families, staff, and community of Galena Elementary School. Mr. Walters helped to lead the NFL Play 60 Program and served on the Kent County Wellness Council, promoting physical activity and healthy behaviors in schools and throughout the community. In addition, Mr. Walters has demonstrated his dedication to students and the community by serving on several school board committees. “Dennis genuinely cares about the community and well being of others and is dedicated to finding ways to help. He is a valuable member of the community and we are proud to have him as part of the CNB team,” explains Win Trice, CNB President and CEO.
