Wet & Wild Auction to Benefit Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center

Every year over 15,000 students come to Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC) to learn about the Bay and environmental stewardship. To continue this educational mission, CBEC needs the support of the community for its 7th Annual Wet & Wild Live and Silent Auction fundraiser on Saturday, September 24, from 4 to 8 pm in CBEC’s Education and Arts Building in Grasonville.

Tickets for the event are $75/person, which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. Attendees will also get a chance to bid on some great auction items, including a Sunset Cruise on the catamaran Felix the Cat, a high-tech ghost-hunting adventure, week-long stay in a Costa Rica villa, sports memorabilia, ski house vacation in Colorado, biplane ride, jewelry, a week vacation in Maine, a ride on a working cargo ship in the Baltimore Harbor, and much more. Outdoor chic is the attire for the event, so be creative and have some fun!

CBEC also encourages community businesses to support the event by becoming sponsors or by donating auction items. CBEC is the one of the last pristine areas on the Chesapeake Bay, and it’s right here in our own backyard!
