Fall is a great time to get out and run or cycle. The weather is perfect and the fall colors only enhance Wicomico County’s great beauty. If you feel the same as we do, we have the events for you!

The 24th Annual Sea Gull Century, hosted by Salisbury University, is slated to be held on Saturday, October 6th. There are three rides available to cyclists on the day of the event – the Assateague Century, Snow Hill Century, and the Princess Anne Metric Ride. There are also rides on Friday, October 5th and Sunday, October 7th that include a stop at various fun locations. All rides on Sunday are a “Show-and-Go” start between 7:00 and 9:00am. If running is more your style, there are two runs this fall hosted by the Wicomico Recreation, Parks, and Tourism team. The Good Beer Festival Hangover 5K is Sunday, October 14th at Pemberton Park starting shortly before the Festival kicks off for the day at 11:30am. Jumpstart your day of food and drinks with a 5K run or a 1.5 mile walk complete with Sunday passes to the Good Beer Festival.

And what would Thanksgiving be without a Turkey Trek 5K? Make room for your Thanksgiving feast at the 4th Annual Turkey Trek 5K on November 22 at Pemberton Park. The 5K will take you through the beautiful nature trails and end with healthy refreshments, pie, and ice cream.
