The Talbot County Youth Coalition for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention, in cooperation with the Talbot County Parks and Recreation Department, has scheduled an “end of school” pool party on Saturday, June 4 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the George Murphy pool.  All youth 13-18 are invited to attend. A  DJ and refreshments will be provided. Admission is free.

The local Coalition is part of the international Youth-to-Youth program, a research-based community effort that encourages and supports drug-free youth. The programs stress youth community development and personal growth.

The Youth Coalition is looking for new members interested in taking a leadership role in the community, especially younger members to carry the group forward. Youth ages 13 through 18 are invited to come see what the Youth Coalition is all about.
