University of Maryland Shore Regional Health will hold its annual Golf Invitational on Monday, September 23 at the Talbot Country Club in Easton. This year’s tournament will benefit Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services at UM Shore Regional Health. Pepsi Bottling Ventures is the presenting sponsor.
“The Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services department at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health has always been very appreciative of the support of the Memorial Hospital Foundation and the generosity of our local community,” says Gary Jones, Director of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services, UM Shore Regional Health. “Funds given to us as a result of this year’s Shore Regional Health Golf Invitational will be used to enhance our Holter/event monitoring systems. These systems are used to evaluate patients’ heart rate and rhythm disturbances.”
The tournament will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a single shot gun start. All golfers will receive a deluxe gift package. Beverages, lunch and snacks will be served on the golf course during the tournament with a reception and awards presentation following.
Individuals and businesses can support the fundraiser for cardio-pulmonary services by becoming a sponsor for this annual event. Sponsorship levels are: Eagle – $5,000; Birdie – $2,500; and Pro – $1,000. Tee sponsorships are also available for $100 with a team entry and $150 for individuals and businesses with no team entry.
Joining the presenting sponsor, Pepsi Bottling Ventures, in sponsoring the annual event are Masters Sponsor: Clark Charitable Foundations; Birdie Sponsors: Maryland Primary Care Physicians, Sysco, KPMG, Eastern Shore Emergency Medicine Physicians, and Bruce and Sandy Hammonds; and Pro Sponsors: Bob and Ruth Carmean and Hearthstone Health & Fitness. Golfers will have the chance to win a hot tub donated by hole- in-one sponsor Aqua Pools and a car from Hertrich, also a hole-in-one sponsor.
