How did you come up with your band name?
It was given to us by the original bass player. Our name is a lyric in a song by the band A Day to Remember.

If you were to describe yourself in one sentence …what would you say?
Tough as nails or …..enough as tails! Both fit us.

Do you have any other hobbies besides, obviously, making music?
Steven plays Varsity Football for Kent Island High School and works at Bridges Restaurant. Sam likes to sleep, go to concerts, go thrift store shopping for button down shirts, take care of his Nintendo dog and works at Holly’s Restaurant in his free time. Seth likes to longboard, go to concerts, but doesn’t work after being laid off and is really relying on this music thing working out! LOL!

What’s your most embarrassing experience?
Seth fell on stage setting up, and during the same show, Steven had bronchitis and couldn’t sing one of the songs because of his voice cracking. Sam, our newest member, is sharing with everyone that his first show with the band will be their upcoming benefit at Bamboo Bernies because he is newly replacing the old bass player…and that has potential for total embarrassment!

Asleep With The Lights On may seem like an average group of high school teens practicing in their Cloverfields’ garage on Kent Island, but don’t be fooled! These veterans have already played at the 2012 Gorilla Music…Battle of the Bands where they took 2nd place out of 40 bands their first time. They have been featured on 98 Rock’s Noise in the Basement, where they played on The Baltimore Sound Stage and were highlighted in an on-air interview. They’ve also played at Rams Head Live and at Reckers Theater to name a few. On June 30 from 12pm- 12am, they will be one of 12 bands playing at Bamboo Bernies in Pasadena as part of Maryland Rocks for Moore!, a benefit for the Oklahoma tornado victims. Monies raised will go to the schools, children, families and musicians of Moore, Oklahoma. The tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Come support our local talent now, and one day you’ll be saying “I knew them when…!” Be sure to check out Let’s Rock in the Shore Update every week for area entertainment schedules and band interviews.
