Shore Neurocognitive Health to Launch Brain Health Program – New Program to help keep your brain fit hosted at Brookletts Place

EASTON, MD – Shore Neurocognitive Health, an Easton mental health practice specializing in older adult issues, is launching a new Brain Health Program on May 17 and 24 to help local residents improve and maintain brain health.

As our bodies age, exercise can help our muscles stay in shape.  Our brains also age, and exercising this vital organ is critical for successful aging and brain health.  Join Beth Parker-O’Brien, LCSW-C, MPH and Maggie Black, PsyD of Shore Neurocognitive Health for an innovative two-part program focusing on improving, sharpening and maintaining brain health. The Brain Health Program will be held at Brookletts Place – Talbot Senior Center in Easton, MD on May 17th and 24th from 1-3 pm.  Cost is $50 for both sessions; participants must attend each.

Beth Parker-O’Brien is a Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field of health and aging since 1980.  Her practice includes a focus on diagnosis and treatment of dementia with an emphasis in the behavioral aspects of disease process. She also has a Master’s Degree in Public Health, which focused on program development and public health research. Dr. Black is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in older adults and their families. Her mission is to increase and enhance the quality of lives for older adults and the people caring for them. Both Beth and Dr. Black are passionate about helping local residents maintain independence and the quality of life they prefer.
